Battle of Grindalls Clearing

After driving the orks from Everett's Clearing, Steffan and squads Zain, Fritz, and Ireneus tracked the fleeing warboss to Grindalls Clearing. The orks had begun fortifying the area for a staging point into the village of Everett's Clearing. Seeing the threat, the Omega dooms launched an offensive and tried to drive the orks from the clearing. After a long and deadly exchange Zain was wounded as well as his entire squad and Ireneus and Fritz suffered their own casualties. Failing to push the orks from the clearing, Master steffan had no choice but to order them to fortify the ground they took and hold out for reinforcements.
