The Battles of Rynilia and Raninia

In the year of 990758.M41 the Tau trying to expand their empire, extend into the domain of the Omega Doom chapter. The 5th company is the only company garrisoned at the monastery when the first reports from Rynilia come in. Responding quickly, Master Steffan dispatches astropathic messages to the rest of the chapter calling for the withdrawal of over half the chapter from all current battle zones and their immediate return. When the 5th company arrive at Rynilia, they find it blockaded by a large fleet and all the hives on it are under siege. Utilising drop pods, they run the blockade and drop the whole company to their designated spots. Never having faced theTao before they launch a fast strike against the main force besieging the capital city, Oynilia, this proves to be partially effective. They drive back the attack but soon find themselves outflanked. With no support or thunderhawk extraction, they have no choice but to fight their ways back to the walls of Oynilia. Losing 15 brothers in this first engagement, they feel this blow and have to hold back their desire for revenge. Captain Strant deploys the remainder of his squad in a defensive posture around the capital and begins the 3 month wait for reinforcements.
The first to make it back fresh from chaseing down splinters of Hive fleet Behemoth,is half the third company along with the support of a third of the 8th and 9th. They brave the blockade and drop down too the capital city. With the reinforcement of the embattled 5th company, Captain Tanor of the 3rd takes over command and launches a massive counter strike. They find their counter strike to be as effective as a sword through water. The Tau move and flow with the assault. Still they push on. Causing heavy damages but taking casualties as well. In a weeks time they have pushed the Tau away from the capital hive and are preparing to march to the closest hive some 500mi away and begin purging operations there. Using the defence lasers and PTS missiles they clear enough room for the "terminus fatum" to bring in 6 thunder hawks with 5 predators and 10 rhinos and 5 razorbacks. Mounted up and ready to go, they resieve grave news. Raninia's capital hive, Martarl, Has fallen under siege by a second Tau strike force and They don't expect to last a month against the newest and most aggressive of assaults. Having no choice but to push on they pray that the emperor will send their remaining brothers in time. Within three weeks they have driven the Tau back to their final stageing area. The skies have been cleared by the combined might of three battle barges and two cruisers from the sub sector fleet. all other available ships are trying to break the new fleet over Raninia. The Tau finally show true Honor and earn the respect of both Captain Tanor and Strant when, with no where else to run they form battle lines and charge the line of marines barring down on them from the eastern waste.
With the Tau defeated and captured, The remaining space marines from the 3rd,5th,8th, and 9th company join the newly arrived 2nd and 6th companies and with the largest combined force of the omega dooms since their fonding, they launch a drop pod assault directly behind the Tau siege lines and crush them entirely between themselves and the capital's shields. The remaining strike force breaks off and runs for the warp. Few make it past the assembled guns of the battle barges and accompanying fleet.

The Dynocian Insurrection

In the year, 990808.M41, The Governor called to the Omega Doom for assistance in quailing a rebellion that had started in the lower hives and spread to the PDF troops that were sent to quail the rebellion. The troops had turned on their officers for no apparent reason and had killed them in the sickest ways any mortal could stomach. Chapter Master Steffan, sensing something horrible was happening and having that thought backed up by Chief Librarian, Godwine, dispatched Godwine, the 2nd company and terminator squad Milan to find the root of evil and expunge it from their world.
After a month of lightning strike attacks against key rebellion strong points, they came across the first sign of the true enemy, The final strike against the rebellion head quarters in the desecrated lower hab temple was a decisive strike against the front gate with two predators and a landraider carrying Godwine and Milan's squad. With the gates broken and shattered by the barrage Godwine and his terminator brothers lead the charge through the cathedral halls with 6 tactical squads supporting their push. The two assault squads of the company pushed in from the upper levels while Godwine and the strike force cleared the lower levels room by room. Reports of heavy resistance brought Godwine and Milan swiftly to assist the assault squads. When they arrived in the cardinal's office they had found the root of evil. A squad of Alpha Legionaries exchanged heavy fire with the two assault squads while their Sorcerous leader continued to chant his ritual. Seeing the Danger for what it really was Godwine charged the Alpha legionaries and broke through their line going straight for the sorcerer. The clash was intense, Warp energies was off the two combatants making reality blur and time slow. Brother-sergeant and his brothers had taken care of the chaos squad but stayed back from the psyker duel. after nearly an hour Godwine's will won the day and the sorcerer was destroyed, and with him the rebellion was finished. the loyal PDF was left cleaning up any hidden cults. Godwine and his brothers went home with their honor intact.

Aftermath

With Epistolary, Godwine being tended by the apothecary, Chaplin, Jevrian, has no choice but to postpone the recruitment operation and call for the remander of the chapter to come assist in the cleanceing of omega secundus to insure that the ork threat has been removed. The already tested potintals have been move to the "terminus vicis". Chapter master, Maksim arrives in an ill mood. the fates have been pushing his resolve and he is being tested more each day. With the arrival of the orks, will he pull what remains of his chapter together and save his remaining realm or fall into darkness and renounce all ties to his former life. only time will tell.

First battle with Warband, Bad Tor Gul

On Omega Secundus, their is a small task force recruiting potental canidites for the chapter. While tending to the sacred and necessary duty, they are attack by a small band of orks lead by two warbosses. As the orks charge the big black ork warboss shouts his name, Bad Tor Gul,  in challage to the small settlement. To his suprise and complete enjoyment, he finds that its more then puny umies he'll be faceing. The Omega dooms take up defensive postions just outside the village and landing zone. As they wait for the charge of the orks. With words of hatred on his lips, Epistolary Godwine charges the ork line with the Ancient, Shaw close on his tail.
the 3 tactical squads break off into combat squads and the two with the flamer charge towards the wall to eleminate any chance of cover the orks may have. Devastator, Jehudi, and sergeant Ireneus send missles and heavy bolters at the advanceing orks. Laying down covering fire for Godwine, squad Fritz and Zain, hold the line. The ancient blast the aragent deffkopptas as the charge headlong into range with his multi melta, blasting one. still caught in his rage Godwine continues to charge at the ork line. as the huge hulking metal nob boss comes crashing through the folage to take on the ancient in single combat. His slow swings a no match for the ancient and he is downed and tossed aside in a matter of seconds. The deffkopptas fire at the ancient in pure exaperation to bring it down. with the blessings of gork or maybe mork, they take out the ancient. Jehudi and Irenneus with combined fire take out the last of the deffkopptas with well placed crack missles. Then out of no where a trukk comes flying toward Godwine and  before he can fire his storm bolter a boy with a rokkit takes him out from the back of the trukk. Jehudi and Ireneus see this and blast the trukk and its passangers to bits, while Fritz and Zain move up to secure the fallen ancient and epistolary. Gul seeing his favorite trukk blown to bitz and seeing the end of his mega nob and deffkoppta desides its time to take his remaining boys and high tell it out of there. upon collection and retiual cremation of the orks the mega nob is no where to be found as are a number of boyz that were thought killed.

They couldnt chase down the orks and destroy them this time because they had to secure the site and had to few marines avaliable to make the risk worth it.

Omega Doom Chapter Background

The Omega Dooms come from the eastern fringe. They control Omega Fatum Sector, two parsecs northeast of ultramar, which contains  atleast 17 habitable plant. They use most for recruiting and supplies and one, omega prime, as their fortress home world. They have prospered and defended this sector for over a thousand years. They have in their honor rolls, stories of victories over the ambitious Tau and the malviolent Alpha legion. In the year 990998.M41 their homeworld is attacked by a Kraken splinter fleet, now known as Omega Doom in memory of the "victory", this attack was beaten back, but at a cost of all but over 200 marines, a single battle barge "Terminus Vicis" and their home world will take years to get back to where it was. To their greater shame the hive ship got away. Now they are left cleansing their planets and trying to rebuild their chapter with their remaining gene seeds.
